I’m a huge fan of the Mediterranean diet and the Spanish are obsessive about using the best ingredients with as little processing as possible. It’s great for road cyclists and tastes fantastic too!

Marbella offers plenty of wonderful restaurants to choose from, whatever your budget or dietary needs. As one of the world’s top tourist destinations, you can eat whenever you like. (The Spanish usually eat their evening meal at around 10 pm, so in many towns and cities the restaurants don’t open until at least 9.30!).

If you’re staying in an apartment or rural house we can provide a diet based on the practices recommended by Nigel Mitchell* in his book: Fuelling the Cycling Revolution: The Nutritional Strategies and Recipes Behind Grand Tour Wins and Olympic Gold Medals.
